The Image Of The IT Industry Will Change After The Lockdown, With One Million Employees Working From Home
More than one million Indian information technology (IT) workers will still work from home (Work From Home), even after the corona lockdown situation returns to normal. Gopalakrishnan, an IT industry general, made the announcement.

The former president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said the IT industry has been able to continue its work during the current state of At Home or Lockdown. Through "Work From Home", the industry has been able to successfully manage its work.

Making the "work from home" successful by employees is no small task. This requires the support of a large number of people, including technology infrastructure. The co-founder of Infosys also said that the business process needs to be changed with the permission of the client.

Gopalakrishnan said that between 80 and 75 per cent of the country's largest IT companies now work from home. In addition, the company's work is progressing smoothly and immediately. Therefore, in the coming days, "Work From Home" will become a part of this industry.

"Even many small Indian startups are now able to manage their work from home," he said. So, they would only resort to this as a last resort.
Gopalakrishnan said 20 to 30 per cent of IT workers would continue to work from home even after the lockdown took place in India and the situation returned to normal. This means that the Indian IT and BPO industry, which has a population of 4 million, will operate from around 1.2 million households. Many companies will prioritize work from home. This is especially true for small companies. As a result, they can get a lot of relief from rent.

The former CEO and managing director of Infosys said the risk of being cut off from the IT industry is very low. Companies will try their best to keep their employees. So there may be a reduction in employee salaries. He hinted that the salaries of various company employees could be reduced from 5 to 25%. Because the effects of the coronavirus infection will be felt for 12-14 months, the chances of new jobs in the coming days are slim. New jobs may not be found in the IT industry for at least a year and a half and this will affect the most to the youngsters waiting to join in the Industry.
